Member Trust Score

Every member gets a 0-100 risk score based on account age, activity patterns, behavior signals, and raid participation history.

Not all new members are equal risk. A 3-year-old account with a rich activity history joining your gaming server is very different from a 2-hour-old account with no avatar joining during a known raid window. Member Trust Score quantifies this difference — giving mods a data layer to make smarter decisions without slowing down legitimate members.

How It Works

  1. Trust Score calculated on join and updated daily based on: account age, activity patterns, Discord-level signals
  2. Score components: account age (0-30 pts), activity history (0-25 pts), behavior patterns (0-25 pts), flag history (0-20 pts)
  3. Low-trust members (score < 30) can be auto-routed to a slower onboarding or extra verification
  4. Mod dashboard shows trust score for all recent joins — sort by risk
  5. Score history: see how a member's score changed over time in your server
  6. Flags: raid participation signal, mass-DM pattern, bot-like posting cadence

What It Tracks

  • Trust score per member (0-100)
  • Score component breakdown (age / activity / behavior / flags)
  • New join risk distribution (daily)
  • Low-trust member alerts (<30 score)
  • Trust score trends over member's lifetime
  • Raid signal detection
  • Bot-pattern behavior flags

Use Cases

  • Crypto server routing low-trust joins (<40) to an extra verification channel before access
  • Gaming server giving mods a quick risk overview of new joins without manual checking
  • Brand community identifying suspicious mass-join events 30 minutes before they become raids
  • Education server automatically restricting messaging for accounts under 7 days old

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Trust Score auto-ban anyone?

Never. Trust Score is advisory — it surfaces risk signals to mods. All bans are manual decisions. The only auto-actions are routing to extra verification or restricting channel access pending review.

Can legitimate members have a low score?

Yes — brand new Discord accounts always start low regardless of who they are. The score improves as the member demonstrates normal activity patterns over time.

Is Trust Score visible to members?

No. Trust scores are only visible to server admins and moderators in the dashboard and mod alerts channel.
