Content Performance Analytics

Discover which content drives real engagement — best post times, top channels by reaction rate, and what triggers activity spikes.

Most admins post announcements at random times hoping someone sees them. Content Performance Analytics shows you which channel types generate the most reactions per message, what time windows produce the highest engagement, and which post formats actually make members respond. Stop guessing — start publishing with data.

How It Works

  1. Dashboard → Content Analytics → Enable for your server
  2. System tracks: message reactions, thread creation, reply chains per channel
  3. Engagement rate = (reactions + replies) / messages posted in period
  4. Best time to post widget surfaces optimal windows per channel
  5. Content spike detector flags which posts caused unusual activity
  6. Monthly report highlights your top-performing channels and content types

What It Tracks

  • Engagement rate per channel (reactions + replies / posts)
  • Best time to post — per channel, per day of week
  • Top-performing post types (text, embed, image, poll)
  • Content spike detection (which post caused a burst of activity)
  • Announcement effectiveness score (reach vs reaction rate)
  • Thread starter rate per message
  • Weekly content performance summary

Use Cases

  • Gaming server finding Thursday 7 PM is 3x better for announcements than Monday morning
  • Brand community seeing image posts get 4x more reactions than text — pivoting content strategy
  • Crypto project tracking which AMA format drives most follow-up questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as 'engagement' in Content Analytics?

Reactions (any emoji), replies, thread creation from the message, and reshares. Lurk views are not counted since Discord doesn't expose them via API.

How many days of data are needed for accurate recommendations?

7 days minimum, 30 days ideal. With less data the confidence score drops and suggestions are marked as 'low confidence'.

Is this different from the Analytics Dashboard?

Yes. Analytics Dashboard shows who is active. Content Performance Analytics shows what content performs best — a content strategy layer on top of the base analytics.
